Awesome Weekend

Last night involved an impromptu visit to downtown! Ali, Lyndsey, and I and some of Nate's friends headed down to this really swanky bar called the Nomad Lounge. It was a little swankier than we had anticipated. It was a birthday party for one of Nate's friends. That was a good time. We haven't really gone out that much as a group. We got some pricey drinks just for fun. It was a good time! We headed down to Billy Frog's after for some more affordable beverages. Good times:) We all came back and made garlic bread pizza!

This morning we went to the free pancake breakfast next door. Brooke was there with her DH and her baby. That was nice. There was a magician and Lyndsey ended up being his assistant. It was hysterical and we got some great pics of her lol. After, Ali and I went to the bar to watch the game. We were still hurting from last nite but it was still a good time. Free shots with every Husker TD! I also tried fried pickles for the first time. That was interesting. They are pretty good! They have a little kick.

Just chillin now watchin some SNL weekend update Thursday shows until the real deal is on. Tomorrow is laundry, hmwk, and football. Lots to do! Lunch with the ladies tomorrow and lunch out again on Friday for work. It's been a busy few weeks. The new job is going well though so I can't complain. Gary is leaving for Hawaii though. That makes me sad. I am happy he will have the opportunity but I will miss him.

weekend fun

Steve came to visit me last weekend. It was so amazing to see him! It had been too long. We went down to the old market and out to dinner a few times. We also discovered beertopia which just made his day:) I am counting down the days till christmas and i will get to see him again.

This weekend I was in Lincoln to visit with the Consortium staff. I stayed with Gary and Karen again. Always a pleasure to visit. I got to see a brass concert and that was nice. It was very relaxing. I got to just chill out on the couch and watch football for a little bit too. It's very homey there and I miss that. I went out to Gretna with Joe and Chase for a weiney roast at Chase's uncles. That was amazing too! I miss being outside, especially this time of year. The air here isn't clean enough for me apparently lol. It was a really nice weekend and a great chance to see friends and recharge. The new job starts tomorrow. I think it will go well. Wish me luck!

I haven’t seen him since July and I am so excited. I have no idea what we are going to do but we can figure that out once he gets here. I am so ready for the weekend. I have nothing to do at work since most of my projects are being halted. It will be a long time till the 17th. We’ll see how it goes. I am feeling a bit sick so hopefully I’ll be over that soon.

Ali’s birthday was on Monday. We surprised her with cake and ice cream and balloons Sunday night lol. That was fun. Monday Whit, Ali, Paige, and I went to Red Robin for dinner and then off to see Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. That was so cute! I really enjoyed itJ I always have so much fun with the roomies and Paige is so nice as well. It was fun to sort of get away and relax after the stress at work lately. I am breaking out like it is nobody’s business! I hope life at Clarkson will be a little more settled. Hopefully less office drama…or at laest not the nasty type we have here. It will be nice to be able to work on S-L like I am supposed to. I am looking forward to working with faculty who are already familiar with the concept and using it! That will be fantastic. Well enough for now. Maybe more later<3
